BHEAA Dinner: A night to remember

Latest Homes celebrates The Brighton & Hove Estate
Agents Annual Dinner
This year’s annual dinner had an air of success from the
start. Optimism was the keyword and all in attendance spoke of a
renewed faith in the property market’s future after two very
difficult years.
Phil Graves, the incoming Chair of the association, set out to
make his mark with some refreshing changes and a trimmer and less
formal approach was welcome, especially a band and dancing to round
the evening off.
As always, there was an element of charity fundraising. Latest
Homes organised a huge ‘dine out for a year’ prize for
the winner of the Heads or Tails competition giving everyone in
attendance a chance to win, raising a massive £3,300 towards
the evening’s total of almost £20,000. The money raised
goes to the Argus Appeal with £1,000 earmarked for Latest
Homes’ chosen charity The Chestnut Tree House
Children’s Hospice.
“I thank our friends in the banking profession
and the Ministers of Parliament, who single-handedly have improved
the image of estate agents throughout the country – more than
any top PR firm could do”
Phil Graves, Chairman BHEAA 2010
The BHEAA Award for Raising Professional Standards in
Estate Agency 2010, sponsored by The Argus, went to David Maslen, a
universally popular choice. The BHEAA Award for Lifetime
Achievement, sponsored by Latest Homes, was awarded to Glenn
Mishon, another hugely popular choice.
