Star Buys: Peter Andre

 Aslapped wrist for not reporting so far on the movements of one of the city’s most talked about celebs. Who’s that, you ask? Peter Andre, of course, and it’s not been for want of trying.

Peter Andre had a few hits back in the day but had really disappeared almost without trace until he ventures into the jungle for I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! It was there he met Brighton’s very own Katie Price, AKA Jordan.

Peter was overwhelmed by Katie’s obvious charms and pretty soon they had embarked on what was to become one of the most talked about celebrity relationships of the last decade.

It culminated in a fairytale wedding, complete with pumpkin coach, Cinderella trimmings and ‘happily ever after’. Well, almost...

Almost as quickly as they met they parted; relations disintegrated and became acrimonious. Katie moved on and Peter moved out.

We all knew where: the gaggle of paparazzi at his gate in Withdean was a complete give-away, camping out there for months on end in the hope of catching a candid shot of the heartbroken popstar at a time when he really needed some privacy.

Star Buys tried hard to find out what Andre was doing too. Had he bought a new home or not? The truth is that he was renting, but trying to get any details out of Brighton’s lettings fraternity is like trying to get blood out of a stone.

We even tried talking to local business who we knew had done work for the golden couple, but they were equally discreet.

It doesn’t make for a particularly exciting story, but it does prove that Brighton’s many letting agents can be trusted to keep a secret when they are asked to.

That said, the Star Buys team would be delighted to hear from both agents and the public alike if they want to dish the dirt on any local celebs and their domestic arrangements.
