Phillips and Still have appointed a new monarch of the glen
Phillips and Still are proud to announce that we have just sold a lovely House called 'The Glen' in Withdean Road for £1.7 million on recently voted one of the most sought after roads in Brighton and Hove. Benefiting from total privacy and comparative solitude, it boasts beautiful views over the South Downs. There were a few estate agents that had been marketing this property over the last year and so far all have been unsuccessful, up until a few months ago when we found a nice family that thought this would make the perfect home and they absolutely loved the area. The property was built in the ‘20s and is an Edwardian Arts and Crafts Villa. It’s set in its own gardens in a large plot of about half an acre.
Before the current sellers it was owned by Cornelia James (the author Peter James's mother) who made gloves by Royal appointment in Havelock Rd. Living in a magnificent house like this provides the best of both worlds, on one hand it feels like you’re living in the countryside with greenery surroundings, stunning views and quietness, but yet you are only a short ride away from the seafront and city centre.
