Project Brighton: TAKEPART Festival celebrates its 10 Year Anniversary
This week we at Latest Homes wanted to highlight Brighton’s TAKEPART Festival, run by Brighton & Hove City Council’s Healthy Lifestyles Team. The award winning festival celebrates the different ways people in the city can enjoy leading a healthy active lifestyle.
With two weeks of free events, activity sessions, performances and workshops it’s the perfect chance to discover activities you enjoy, try something new, or take a step towards a healthier you.
TAKEPART is celebrating its 10 year anniversary, so to recognise this we’re launching the TAKEPART Golden Ticket. People can still register and try out a wide range of free activities all summer. All activities are suitable for beginners and people of all abilities.
To register for your golden ticket or for further details visit: www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/golden-ticket
It’s the perfect chance to try something different and discover great activity providers in the city.
There are many things happening until 2nd July, including: ‘The Best of Health’ for adults with learning disabilities which is taking place on Thursday 22 June - 10am – 3pm.
The event is a drop in at King Alfred Leisure Centre and offers a fun packed day with activities, information stalls, and friendly people. Come along and try out Zumba, Flamenco, inclusive football, Hula Hooping, indoor cricket, Boccia & more!
The Festival launch event attracted thousands of people on Saturday 17th June, with a huge range of activities for people to try out. There were performances and demos from clubs and groups in Brighton and Hove offering activities for a range of ages and abilities.
